Volunteer
We welcome individuals, school groups, universities, and corporations to visit our center and share their expertise. We’ve benefited from the work of many wonderful volunteers, from a business school marketing expert to Canadian high schoolers who helped build roads and fences and experienced weavers from Japan who taught us traditional Japanese textile techniques. Thanks to all who’ve spent time with us! We will never forget you.

Fundraising:
You can help raise funds to support or sponsor various programs at SWDC. We have had people raise funds among their friends on social media and other platforms like GoFundMe. You can raise money as an individual or even at a workplace- from running a marathon to a bake sale. Every little donation helps support our programs.
Donating clothes, toys, computers and school supplies:
We have received donations like old toys and children's clothes from people all around the world including the US, the UK and Europe. Contact us if you are interested in sending us a surprise donation package.

OUR WEAVING CENTER
See the process of silk production from start to finish - from dyeing raw silk and creating new designs to spinning, weaving and adding finishing touches.
