Free lunch program
Continuously develop appropriate and sustainable programs that improve lives, increase skills and benefit the community.
With 30 percent of Cambodians living below the poverty line, many people are unable to maintain recommended daily intake of essential nutrients. According to UNICEF/WFP, 28.5% of women aged 15-49 in Cambodia have a BMI under 18.5, which is considered malnourished for women of child-bearing age.
SWDC provides a free nutritional lunch for all of the staff of the Stung Treng center and their children. Striving to ensure that each lunch has high nutritional value, key macro and micro nutrients are well represented in each meal.
